Summary
A Swiss ethologist who performed an autopsy on a chimpanzee from the Taï Forest, Côte d'Ivoire, contracted a previously unknown ebolavirus and was repatriated to Switzerland for treatment. She survived. The case remains the only documented human infection with Taï Forest ebolavirus.
