Summary
An outbreak that began in Mékambo, north-east Gabon, crossed the border into the Cuvette-Ouest region of the Republic of Congo. 65 cases and 53 deaths were recorded in Gabon (additional cases in RoC counted separately). The outbreak coincided with mass die-offs of great apes in the same forest.
